Why did you become a tutor?
I became a tutor because I think tutoring allows me to help a lot of different people while also helping me learn more about my major every term.

What is your favorite thing about the subject in which you tutor?
I love statistics because it applies to everything: sports, academics, science, politics, etc. Studying statistics gives you more knowledge about a wide variety of different topics.

What is the best study tip you have for a student taking one of the courses you tutor?
The best study tip I have for statistics students is to go slow and try to fully grasp the overall concepts and goals at the beginning of each unit before moving onto the specifics, such as formulas or equations. If you understand the concepts, not only do the formulas become easier to remember, you begin to understand the purpose and use of the formulas.

Why should students come to Study Lab?
I think students should come to Study Lab because us tutors are students as well. Because of this, we can give you study tips, conceptual help, and academic support that you may never find in a classroom.
