Why did you become a tutor?
I enjoy interacting with people and I am always happy to be of help to others.  I also know from experience how difficult it can be to figure out what works best for you in college.  I have had a lot of people help and support me as I navigated through different studying tecniques that really helped me academically.

What is your favorite thing about the subject in which you tutor?
I love how dynamic these subjects are.  There is always new research coming out with either brand new discoveries or information that provides us a better understanding of something we didn't quite grasp before, there is always something new to learn.

What is the best study tip you have for a student taking one of the courses you tutor?
The best way to study is to review information little by little.  Reviewing a topic 15 minutes every day will help you retain that information better than if you cram.  This also helps break up your study load so you don't feel overwhelmed when you have to prepare for an exam.

Why did you seek out tutoring?
My freshman year, I was really struggling in my Chemistry class. So, I sought out tutoring in the hopes that another student could provide me with a clearer perspective on the topics I was having trouble with.

Why do you think students should come to Study Lab?                                                                                                                                                                                                                A big thing you will learn in college is no one will know you need help if you don't ask.  When you are having trouble with a class, it can be intimidating going to the professor for help. With Study Lab, you are interacting with other students who have been in your shoes and hava a better understanding of what you are having difficulty with.  It's less intimidating.  It's an opportunity to see things from a new point of view, and also a great way to make friends with other students.
