Hello, my name is Kamal Imaya, and I am from Chester County, PA, right outside of Philadelphia! I am a biology major with a chemistry minor and a certificate in conceptual foundations of medicine on the pre-dental track! On campus, I am the vice president of Project RISHI at Pitt and Iota Nu Delta, as well as a Dietrich School Ambassador! I partake in dental research regarding dental anxiety in pre-pubescents and how it can lead to general anxiety in the future. Outside of campus, I am an EMT and teach tennis to younger kids! During the Summer of 2025, I spent 6 weeks studying abroad in South Korea. If I am not standing on business, you can find me going for a bike ride, checking out scenic views, exploring with friends, listening to music, and even studying maps! I love studying at Hillman and Scaife Hall, and off campus, I often catch myself exploring the city and finding new scenic places to relax. I am excited to help students explore research!
