Anthony and Concetta Ambrosio Internship Award

The Anthony and Concetta Ambrosio Internship Award provides $5,000 to support a Dietrich School undergraduate who has received an unpaid, summer academic internship. The internship might be one that takes place in Pittsburgh or any other location.

First Experiences in Research (FE-R) Program

In the fall term, First Experiences in Research (FE-R) Program participants apply to have the chance to be paired with an expert Faculty Mentor. In the spring term, FE-R students conduct hands-on research with their Mentor. Projects come from across all disciplines and areas of interest -- including biology, communications, economics, music, neurology, political science, studio arts, and theatre arts, to name a few.

London Field Studies

London Field Studies participants travel to London, England, during the first two weeks of May to access resources unavailable in the United States and to enrich their independent spring and summer term-long research.

Summer Undergraduate Research Award

The Summer Undergraduate Research Awards (SURA) provide a $4,000 stipend to conduct independent research over the summer. Titles of recent SURA topics range from "Queer Cinema and the Spectator/Voyeur Narrative: Performance and Performativity" to "Migrant Health and Human Rights". SURA recipients also enroll in a 12-week summer SURA course to learn how to communicate their research findings to a general audience.
